I don't... What??

I don't blog anymore! Correction: I was never a regular blogger per say; but I've realized that I don't even think about ''I'd blog about that (and eventually don't blog about that)'' anymore.

Where has that spirit of procrastination gone? I think I was just never a habitual or compulsive writer. And I've just come to terms with the non-writer bit so the procrastination part becomes sort of redundant.

Then why do I think of my blog today? Well, wasn't a blog supposed to be like a super-secret-public-dear_diary? The one that you needed to get some clarity of thought?

YESS!

You're on dear diary! Let me get back to you...

(procrastination, you're up?)

Anyway. Cheers??

Fuck you all.

Mumbai Rajdhani

This heartless bitch to delhi
Couldn't stop at dadar,
Nor at bandruhh
or even borivali

She didn't know lovers
await a last glance
Till a month passes
That was the last chance

Now I'm far away
From my lover's sweet embrace
All I have is a little something
This jacket that holds his trace

What I yearned for
was a month-lasting
hurried last kiss
To soothe the lips
of this traveling Miss.

A day out with family

I love going out with my dad in general. His old-school sense of humor, his style, his giving in to my tantrums and indiscipline, and most of all - his energy... makes me go ga-ga every other time :-)

Anyway, my outings just with family became numbered when 'other things' took over as the time consuming, somehow the 'more fun' factor in my life. And it's been a while this way.

So, today was one such numbered day. I was out with family and relatives and as usual, I took some pictures. Here are a few elements my day through the eye of my camera.

A cuppa tea, anyone?

Yes, I played the good old Tambola, fauji ishtyle. Wow, the game is boring (and I always knew that)!

Mom flaunting her Tambola ticket. She ALWAYS wins something wherever she goes. Should introduce her to gambling soon, I guess. Hehe.

Review: Chance Pe Dance (Chance Pe Prance)

Remember that feeling you get when you do something stupid and wish you NEVER did it? Well, watching UTV's Chance pe Dance does the trick and soon enough makes you wanna sit up and realize the shit that's flying in front of you.

The movie isn't a dance bonanza, as the name may suggest. You won't find Shahid Kapoor breaking into a classy dance sequence at every chance he gets -- Chance pe Dance, you know! Instead what you discover, as time slooooooowly goes by, is an utterly predictable pauper-turns-superstar NON-story.

Or wait, did they mean 'grab that opportunity' by that title? Fuck it, nevertheless.

Shahid Kapoor has done some decent work in the recent past, and his acting talent is unquestionable in this one as well. What I don't understand is that how does an actor fall prey to such a mediocre script?!

Along with him, Genelia D'Souza adorns the new-gen mulgi role decently (with her slow talking dialogues that include, ''I dunno yaaa.'' ''No yaa.'' and other sentences that end with ''yaaa''). And yes, Genelia doesn't dance much in the movie. And apparently, she's playing the role of a choreographer.

Adorable funnyman Satish Shah could have made up for humor that was lacking. Alas, his role ends abruptly in the movie! (Shockingly, I had it my head that he had passed away sometime back in real life.. sorry :-P ) On the other hand, Monish Behl has an irritating screen presence for whatever time he's on. I did not understand whether he was a villain or the movie guy with a golden heart. Ugh.

Why I sat through the entire shitty movie is a different story altogether, but PVR's (Lower Parel) special '67% water' Coke, the turpentine-smelling vegetarian burger and the cushy salty pop corn, all free (and all of which I still drank n ate), just added dampness to this silly movie.

One could easily give this one a miss. Or if your girlfriend forced you into it, put on your in-ear headphones, lay back, and enjoy the air-conditioning.

Kerala: The Beginning

Once again, my heart was fluttering as I was reaching an unknown territory. God's own country! I couldn't stop smiling as the rickety Air India flight was landing at Kochi airport. The view was GREEN outside, unlike it is when one is reaching Bombay -- in a way you could compare it to the scenery when one is landing in Guwahati. But here it is tropical, unlike the fresh hilly landscape of the East.

I reached Kochi at 8. What a cool weather! Not utilizing my bargaining skills, I took an auto for Angamali railway station for 80 bucks. The cute rickshaw driver said it's 8 Km away. I just loved the way he pronounced 'unngamaaldli'. Mesmerized by how adorable he was, after hardly 10 minutes of journey and a not-so-fast-ride, I've got that break-up feeling -- we approach ANGAMALI. Now I'm certain it's not more than that 4 Km away from the airport.. (Like my friend had instructed) Shouldn't have been more than Rs. 30 (like my friend had instructed!!). Grr.

The oh-so-cute rickshaw driver is suddenly not-so- cute anymore.

However, I'm just loving the air here at the little railway station called Angamali.. Waiting for Kanyakumari Express that'll take me to Chengannur!
